In the news on December 6th, Bitcoin Core v26.0 has officially been released, adding experimental support for the v2 transmission protocol defined in BIP324. Additionally, nodes with multiple accessible networks will actively try to establish at least one outward connection in each network, increasing the individual resistance of nodes to partition attacks and the network-level resistance to partition attacks. Users no longer need to take active measures to ensure connections to multiple enabled networks. The new version also adds "loadtxoutset," allowing for the loading of UTXO snapshots in the format generated by "dumptxoutset." These updates will further strengthen the security and stability of the Bitcoin network.
